On Friday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) revised the 2019 constitution by the Pakistan Cricket Committee (PCB) to restore the former status of regional and departmental cricket. Judge Shahid Mubeen, an LHC judge, ordered a one-page decision by staying until the day after the hearing on August 27.
Munir Ahmed and& Ahmed Nawaz
The petitioners Munir Ahmed and Ahmed Nawaz claimed in the petition that they submitted a constitutional amendment without approval from the PCB board. At the order of the court, Nagman Haider Zaidi, a lawyer for petitioners, said the new constitution was suspended because it limited democratic forces. He insisted that the new constitution put the elected people on the wall and work in a dictatorship. Zaidi expressed hope that the trustless movement will begin for the chairman of Ehsan Mani PCB on August 30 after the constitutional amendment was discontinued.
On Wednesday, the PCB announced that the new constitution came into force on August 19. The new constitution divided the office of the chairman and the chief executive officer, and the executive director of the PCB was redesignated as chief executive officer. Under the previous constitution, the existing governor of the PCB was to continue for a period of time until four members of the BoG were notified of at least seven (three cricket associations and four independent members.
The new regulations were supposed to change the composition of the BoG to include three members who are the presidents of the cricket association (on a rotation basis), two members nominated by the sponsor, and four independent members, including one or more female members. PCB executives, IPC Foreign Minister non-voting.

The Lahore High Court
Lahore High Court (LHC) halted all amendments introduced in the Pakistan Cricket Committee (PCB) Constitution on Friday through the announcement of the Intergovernmental Coordinator. Judge Shahid Mubeen also discontinued five separate notices about the PCB for the termination of service from several regional coaches. A spokesman for Naghman Zaidi, in a court of law, issued an implied notice of the new constitution on August 19, claiming that it changed the basic structure of the constitution into an undemocratic and illegal way.
He said the amendment was made and that the new constitution was published without supporting the interested parties and convening the General Assembly and General Assembly of the PCB. The adviser pointed out that the new constitution completely ignored democratic norms as seven out of eleven governors were nominated or elected.
He said the new constitution allowed the board to eliminate the majority of PCB chairmen in three quarters instead of the mere majority, as was the practice of the old constitution. He also claimed that the disciplinary law replaced the Earth Cricket Association with the City Cricket Association.
The entire fraternity of representatives elected in the constituency was not included in the PCB Assembly, and only a small number of people, including many neglected ones, will form the body. Therefore, he said the new constitution was not representative in character and spirit.
The lawyer argued
The Constitution deprived thousands of cricketers from the fundamental right to cricket at the national level and gained the opportunity to represent the country on an international level. He asked the court to enact all implied orders and to enact notices of constitutional amendments issued without legal authority. Judge Mubeen passed the stay order with the main petition already pending on August 27 and corrected the matter for further hearings. In the meantime, the operation of the improvised order will continue until the next hearing date.
However, Taffazul Haider Rizvi, PCB's legal adviser, told us that he had no knowledge or information about the pleas raised against the board's new constitution. He said that the written petition mentioned in the press was pending before the LHC in connection with the old constitution of the PCB and was amended for a hearing along with all other petitions on August 27.
